Last of Autumn's Color

It is supposed to hard freeze on Tuesday night!  I think it will do in the pretty roses and anything else still living.  Ben and my Dad winter-proofed the dog house and the chicken house yesterday, so we are ready!!  Here are a few of my favorite pictures of this autumn season:

Have a great week everyone!

  1. Beautiful! We are supposed to get our first bit of snow tonight. The birds will get to experience their first real cold weather. We got the one room ready, but the nesting room still needs a bit of work. I guess it's a good thing the girls aren't laying yet.

    1. Mine aren't laying right now either... most of them are still too young and the others are still busy with babies (though the babies are almost as big as they are now!)

  2. We have hard some hard freezes so far but not enough to really make the leaves drop. My horse still has very little winter coat. Does that mean it is not going to be that cold of a winter?

Pretty pictures. I took some around my area and had them on my blog.

    1. My pony has a massive coat, but that is typical for him. I hope this winter isn't quite as cold, I'd appreciate the break! But we shall see what happens!

  3. Beautiful photos!! Our leaves have been gone here for over a month, seen plenty of snow, and had 10 degrees today :) NOT ready for this cold stuff at all!

Thanks so much for sharing! A new follower :)

  4. WOW! BEAUTIFUL! The colors are gone here. Had a couple little freezes and a bigger one last night. I have so many baby animals that just came and are coming, I keep forgetting it is the middle of November and not spring...lol. Thanks for sharing the fall colors!

  5. The colors are so beautiful! A few weeks ago we modified our coop for winter so I hope it stays warm in there. We're supposed to get really cold tonight, too!

    1. PS - Just wanted to say thank you so much for the kind words about my Sylvester. Unfortunately it sounds like you know exactly what I'm going through. I do miss him so much, but it does help like you said to find comfort in my other kitties :)
