Corn Maze!

Contrary to popular belief, I have not fallen off the face of the earth.  Yet.  Haha!  I recently accepted a new job position at the company I work for (I work from home which is awesome) and it has kept me VERY busy.  Busy is good and means more money, but I have also had a hard time keeping my blogging schedule stable.  I have also been having some scary computer problems.  Bear with me!

I have tried about five times in the last week to upload this post... let's see if we can get it to work today!

CORN MAZE TIME!!

We had great fun going to the local corn maze with some friends from church last weekend.  This was my first maze I'd ever been too, and I think the experience was quite good!

First I admired these wildflowers.  So pretty!

To go into the maze, we had to watch a video.  It was pretty hilarious (and cheesy).
The maze itself was... interesting.  I spent my time just walking and helping watch the other kiddos from church to make sure they didn't wander off (it is incredibly easy to do I learned)!  My sister and some other less directionally-challenged people than myself lead the way...

And finally got us out after about an hour.  Not bad!
Next we got to visit with some incredibly cute animals...

And now I am desperately wanting a llama...
So cute!  That does it for our corn maze adventures.  Hope you enjoyed it!

  1. You had to watch a video before the maze?! Did it tell you how to send for help if you got hopelessly lost? I'm glad you managed to get out without too much trouble.

I can see you as a llama farmer. What does your husband say about it? :)

    Congrats on the new job!

    1. This maze actually had a part where you walk over a tall bridge and there are people there who can help point you in the right direction on that bridge. I figure if you yell for help if you were very lost, they'd come point you to the exit. Quite well thought out!

Haha so funny you ask about what the husby thinks. I wish you could have seen his face when I informed him you can fir 5-10 alpacas on an acre. It was priceless! He isn't on board yet to say the least, but I'm working on him haha!

      Thanks for the congrats! :)

  2. Oh the animals! Too cute. I must admit I get a bit freaked out in mazes. Something about not being able to see where the end is kind of scares me! But of course that's the whole point of a maze haha.

Congrats on the new position at work! Hopefully things will settle down so you can blog more!

    1. I kinda weirded me out too, so I just kept following the leader. I placed an awful lot of trust in them - good thing they pulled through lol!

I hope my schedule becomes more stable soon too. And my computer!! Crazy thing!

  4. Congrats on the new job, making more money! You'll need more money to care for all the critters you want to bring home....lol. Keep working on your husband! Isn't there a sayin' where it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission....lol...(just bring some alpacas and llamas home)....jk! Your post here reminds me of a story that hit the headlines where a person called 911 because they were lost in a corn maze...lol. Looks like they had some cute animals there!

    1. lol I can see why someone might feel the need to call 911 in a corn maze - especially if they were in need of the bathroom haha! They did have some really sweet animals, and they looked very happy and well cared for, which made me smile.

  5. Oh, corn maze! I so want to do one this fall, but J. is such a stick in the mud. Fall always gets me started wishing for bonfires and hayrides and apple cider. If you get a chance, go check out the scary story I posted this morning.

Oh, and congrats on the new job. How cool is it that you can work at home? And...since you can work at home....is there any reason why you couldn't also take care of a llama? Hmmm? (So jealous, by the way...I want one also and keep trying to convince J. that he wouldn't have to do yard work if we had one.)

    1. Fall does the same thing to me!! I know, I need to just get a llama and stick him in the back yard and act like I have no clue where he came from. Surely hubby would never suspect lol!

  6. First of all, I'm so glad you have not fallen off the planet, I've missed you! So glad the new job is good but we need more blogging time! ;) Looks like a lot of fun! The idea of watching a video is just funny. Maybe you should have brought the Camel home? :)
